GLC is seeking a QA Pharmacist for a long-term contract assignment at the National Institutes of Health, located in Bethesda, MD.
The QA Pharmacist will have strong IV room experience and a strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques to be responsible for observing special gowning techniques and practices that occur in pharmacy. Should possess a working knowledge of GMP protocols in a Pharmacy environment.
The QA Pharmacist will be performing observations and audits of Pharmacists Sterile Techniques and reporting back to QA Specialists and supervisor. Requires a high degree of knowledge of USP <797> and <800>, proper garbing, and verification of hospital orders.
Previous experience in a clinical (hospital) setting is vital. Will consider a Pharmacist that has considerable IV compounding experience from infusion clinics or long-term care as well.
Must have good communication skills (personable, easy to interact with people)
Schedule is rotating shifts 40 hours per week which may include some weekends and Holidays.
A minimum of 3 years recent IV Pharmacy experience.
Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license from any state or US territory
Graduate from an accredited Pharmacist Program
Possess a current BLS certification
