Radiology Tech needed for a long term federal contract at a minimum security Correctional Facility.
Day Shift M-F, no weekends or holidays.
The prospective contractor will provide Radiology services as delineated below tor the inmate population at the United States FCI and Federal Prison Camp, Bennettsville, South Carolina.
The prospective contractor shall be responsible for
A) Perform routine Radiology services to inmates at the institution as referred by BOP Health Services Staff.
B) Maintain the radiology equipment through required services performed by contracting services.
C) Independently perform all radiographic procedures, i.e. chest, bone, skull, spine, knee, back etc…
D) Will maintain confidentiality and privacy of medical information in the radiology department and medical conditions inmates and
E) Notify Radiologist, or referring physicians of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional
views, or exams can be ordered if needed.
F) Will provide assistance to medical staff as duties assigned such as scanning of medical records, maintaining Radiology badges,
monitoring sanitation in the Health services area, and assisting in Improving Organization Plan.
G) Will follow BOP policy and procedures, ACA standards, JCAHO, and CDC standards.
H) Explains appropriate instructions to inmates who will undergo radiology procedures.
I) Maintain daily sick call list/call out.
J) Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs and inform the HSA if repairs or calibrations or needed.
K) The contractor will be responsible for ensuring there has been an inspection for defects performed twice per year for gloves, aprons,
and shields and those inspections are signed off by the Clinical Director. The contractor will also ensure the HSA has been made
aware that inspections were completed.
