Chief Operating Officer: 

GLC Group is partnering with a growing real estate private equity platform to identify a Chief Operating Officer to oversee and scale firmwide operations across acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio execution. This executive will work closely with the CIO and Managing Partners to translate investment strategy into disciplined operational execution, scalable infrastructure, and sustained portfolio performance.

This is a high-impact leadership role for an operator with strong investor instincts and experience building institutional-grade real estate platforms.


The Role

Platform & Firm Operations

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the management company and portfolio platform

  • Design and scale operating infrastructure to support growth across funds, strategies, and geographies

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and operational reporting

  • Implement institutional-grade policies, controls, and best practices

Portfolio & Asset Operations

  • Oversee operating partners, property managers, and third-party vendors

  • Ensure execution of asset-level business plans across acquisitions, repositionings, construction, and dispositions

  • Drive NOI growth through expense controls, operational efficiencies, and performance benchmarking

  • Monitor asset- and portfolio-level KPIs and intervene where performance lags

Investment Support & Value Creation

  • Partner with the investment team during diligence to assess operational risk and execution complexity

  • Validate underwriting assumptions related to operating costs, staffing, capex, and timelines

  • Lead post-acquisition integration and stabilization

  • Drive operational value-creation initiatives across the portfolio

Technology, Data & Reporting

  • Own property management systems (Yardi), data platforms, and reporting tools

  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting for senior management and investors

  • Improve data visibility across leasing, capex, operations, and asset performance

People, Risk & Governance

  • Build and lead internal operations and asset management teams

  • Establish performance standards and accountability across internal and external operators

  • Oversee compliance, risk management, insurance, and internal controls

  • Coordinate with legal, tax, and audit partners


Candidate Profile

  • 12+ years of experience in real estate operations, asset management, or private equity real estate

  • Senior leadership experience within an owner-operator or institutional operating platform

  • Deep understanding of property-level operations (industrial and/or retail preferred)

  • Strong financial acumen with ability to connect operations to underwriting and returns

  • Experience working with institutional LPs
