Join a leading healthcare provider as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated RNs looking to make a difference in the lives of patients in a supportive environment. As part of our team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral health evaluations of assigned patients.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care effectively.
- Assist nursing peers and physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the RN scope of practice.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- De-escalation training (SAMA or CPI) required.
- Previous experience in a geriatric psychiatric unit required.
- Recent experience in a Senior Behavioral Health setting within an acute care hospital (within the last year) is required.
Additional Information:
- 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT approved.
- Blocked scheduling CANNOT be accommodated.
- Maximum RTO: 1 week.
- Scrub color: Any solid color.
- Beds in Unit: 19.
- Patient ratio: 1:7.
- No call required.
- No floating required.
- EMR: MedHost.
- Any CPI certification is acceptable; training with SAMA can be provided during orientation.
