Join a leading healthcare provider as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential care to patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral health evaluation of assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
  • Assist nursing peers as requested and support physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field is essential.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience required in a Senior Behavioral Health setting.
  • BLS certification required.
  • De-escalation training (SAMA or CPI) required.
  • Previous experience in a gero psych unit is required.
  • Recent experience in an acute care hospital setting is necessary.

Additional Information:

  • 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT approved.
  • Blocked scheduling CANNOT be accommodated.
  • Maximum RTO: 1 week.
  • Scrub color: Any solid color.
  • Beds in Unit: 19.
  • Patient ratio: 1:7.
  • No call or floating required.
  • EMR: MedHost.
  • Candidates must list in their submission that they are willing to obtain CPI training if not already certified.
