Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry, where you will provide exceptional care to cardiac and neuro patients. This contract position is located in Thousand Oaks, CA, and offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
Unit Information:
- Unit Type: Telemetry Unit
- Number of Beds: 30 (with 12 overflow beds)
- Staffing: 50 core RNs
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Type of Equipment: Tele boxes, Welch Allen vital sign machines, Alaris IV pumps
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must-Have Skills: EKG interpretation, IV start, chest tube management
- Preferred Skills: Experience with cardiac procedures such as heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion
- Best Personality Fit: Quick learner, great communication skills, dependable
Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
Floating Areas: PCU and Med/Surg
Dress Code: Scrub color is variable; no visible piercings allowed.
