Required Skills:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience as a CNA
- Current CPR certification
- Strong patient care skills, including vital signs, specimen handling, and assisting with daily activities
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions
- Excellent communication skills to report patient changes promptly
- Basic proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Organizational skills to manage supplies, documentation, and scheduling
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Correctional Facility
- Ability to perform minor clinical procedures such as dressing changes
- Experience in emergency response and operation of emergency equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years of hands-on experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant IV in a healthcare setting
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work with a diverse inmate population and in a correctional healthcare environment
- Willingness to participate in emergency training exercises
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations
- Supplies, materials, and equipment will be provided; adherence to all safety and infection control guidelines is mandatory
