We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN to join our team in Sidney, MT. This contract position is ideal for a passionate nurse with a focus on hematology and oncology, bringing their expertise to a leading healthcare provider.
The Oncology Infusion registered nurse is a vital member of the cancer care team, responsible for delivering professional oncology nursing care in the Infusion area. This role ensures adherence to Cancer Care policies, nursing procedures, standards, and practices, along with continued quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment of health history and addressing physician orders
- Conducting in-office procedures and providing patient & family education
- Administering chemotherapy and managing cancer symptoms
- Monitoring patients through frequent visits, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being
- Acting as the primary conduit of communication with patients, relaying information and feedback to physicians
- Providing direct nursing care, including triage of patient care needs
- Applying clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Leader
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience
- EPIC experience is required
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification is required
