Facility Overview: This fully-accredited healthcare facility is dedicated to the care and improvement of human life. With over 1,100 employees and 500 physicians, the hospital offers 24/7 Emergency Services, including a Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and Express Care ER. The facility is equipped with a Bariatric Center, Behavioral Health Center, Cancer Center, Chest Pain Center w/PCI, Comprehensive Breast Center, Family Center, Heart & Vascular Center, Orthopedic Center, Physical Therapy Services, Stroke Center, Surgical Services, and a Wound Healing Center.
Unit Profile: The Respiratory Unit is comprised of 266 beds, and staff members are equipped to handle a variety of critical care situations. The unit utilizes various ventilators and BiPAPs, with documentation managed through Meditech. Staff are expected to work a minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and the possibility of floating throughout all inpatient units.
Requested Skill Set: Candidates must possess advanced skills in Critical Care & Emergency Care, including aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, and ventilator management. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP. The dress code consists of scrubs.
The Respiratory Therapy team consists of 30 well-rounded colleagues with diverse levels of experience, rotating through all floors and two 10-bed ICUs. Therapists work at the top of their licenses, performing tasks such as intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance. The team collaborates closely with various disciplines to enhance patient care, utilizing advanced equipment like Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
