Join a leading healthcare facility as a Travel RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Payson, UT. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team. Our NICU has a strong reputation, having won the Unit of Distinction award for three consecutive years, and we pride ourselves on our low turnover rates.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 5, including a negative pressure room for infants up to 30 days old.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 for CPAP; otherwise, 1:2, occasionally 1:3 for feeder growers.
- Staffing: Two NICU nurses on duty at all times, ensuring support and collaboration.
- Equipment: OGs, IVs, Hi Flow, CPAP, PANDA warmers, and Giraffe warmers. No ventilators; infants requiring ventilation are transferred.
- Documentation System: CPN.
Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts per week. Nurses may float to the mother-baby unit as needed.
Patient Experience Requirements: Familiarity with Press Ganey metrics is preferred.
Certifications Required: NRP, STABLE, and CPR. Advanced skills are needed to care for CPAP babies and perform procedures such as UVCs and IVs.
Dress Code: Wine-colored scrubs are required; some may be provided on the unit.
Our NICU team is passionate about providing exceptional care, delivering 30-40 babies each month. We are currently seeking dedicated RNs with at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting and an active license at submission.
