Join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a leading Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Canistota, SD. We are seeking dedicated individuals who have a passion for providing compassionate care to the elderly population, including those with dementia and behavioral health needs.
This position requires experience in geriatric psychiatric care, as you will be working with residents who may have diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia. Your role will be vital in supporting their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Shift Details:
- Days: 6a-2:30p and 6a-6:30p
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
- Varied shifts: 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available.
Additional Information:
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40 hours.
- Overtime available.
- Orientation will include training, tour, and competencies, with the opportunity to shadow 1-2 shifts.
- Facility has a 55-bed capacity with a CNA ratio of 1:12 during the day and 1:23 at night.
