Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Contract Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry on the 2 North unit. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment in Fredericksburg, TX. We are seeking dedicated RNs with telemetry and postop care experience to provide exceptional patient care.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 24
- Number of Staff: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Type of Equipment: C.O.W.s, BP Machines, Doppler, Bladder Scanner, Heating Pad, Hoyer Lift, Sara Steady, Sit to Stand, Traction, SCDs, IV Pumps, PCA Pump, Epidural Pump, Ambit Pain Pump, KCI & Prevena Wound Vac
- EMR: Meditech Expanse (PCS)
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Daily weights, Vital signs, Intake/output, Hourly Rounding, Bedside Report
- CBI, cardiac gtt, heparin gtt, Phototherapy, wound care, IV starts, discharge/admit own patients, NGT, foley care
Required Skills:
- Must Have: Telemetry Experience, Postop Care Experience
- Preferred: 2 years experience or more, PALS, NIH
Best Personality Fit: Self-motivated, takes initiative, team-player
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Floating Areas: ICU for MedSurg overflow patients
Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Navy Blue
Scheduling: Must sign up for every other weekend or 2 weekends. Holidays required. RTO must be pre-approved.
