Overview
As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to inmates with a range of medical needs. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Required Skills

  • Current licensure as an LPN in the state of Kentucky
  • Minimum 6 months of recent/consecutive experience in corrections
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days and nights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Basic life support certification (BLS) or willingness to obtain

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with correctional nursing practices and protocols
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients as needed
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing (ADN or BSN)
  • Recent experience in a correctional facility or related healthcare setting
  • Certification in a specialty area, such as pediatrics or gerontology

Other Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required certifications
  • Willingness to work in a maximum security facility
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
