Overview
As an LPN working in corrections, you will deliver direct nursing care to inmates, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols and maintaining safety standards. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with mental health professionals to support inmate well-being.

Job Details

  • Compensation: Weekly gross of $1,700, with an hourly rate of $15, plus OT at $40/hr and weekly stipend of $1100
  • Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Contract: Starting around 05/28 or every other week
  • Overtime availability: Yes
  • Location: Albion, PA
  • Setting: Psychiatric correctional facility

Required Skills

  • Valid LPN license
  • Experience in mental health or correctional healthcare preferred
  • Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow protocols

Nice to Have Skills

  • Previous correctional or psychiatric nursing experience
  • Familiarity with mental health medications and treatments
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Licensed Practical Nurse certified in Pennsylvania
  • Prior experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare settings

Other Requirements

  • Must be local to Albion, PA or surrounding areas
  • Ability to work evenings and pass background checks
  • CPR certification preferred
