Elko is located just 3 hours from Salt Lake City and has a population of around 40,000, with a young community and an average age of 31. The area boasts seasonal outdoor attractions including hiking, backpacking, cycling (on and off-road), fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and backcountry skiing. Additionally, Elko features casinos and hosts local "True Western Town" events, such as the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering every January, celebrating the cowboy lifestyle.

- ACLS and PALS are required; candidates have 60 days to obtain ACLS and 90 days for PALS after the start date.
