Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Danville, VA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the mission of making communities healthier. With over 120 years of service, the facility is a 250-bed Academic Community Hospital and the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
**Upcoming 2026 Orientation Dates:** May 26, June 9 and 23, July 7 and 21, August 4 and 18, September 1, 15 and 29, October 13 and 27, November 10, December 8.
As a Travel RN in the ER, you will be part of a team that provides comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency department services, and advanced wound healing. The facility boasts a cardiac rehabilitation center, two cath labs, and a day surgery center.
Position Information:
- Facility Department/Cost Center: ER SERVICES
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC
- Years of Experience: 5+ years in Emergency Department
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 (exceptions may occur on high-volume days)
- EHR: Primarily MedHost (ED) and Meditech
- Patient Population: Serves all ages
As part of your role, you will be expected to work rotating weekends as needed, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor, with a strong ability to work as a team player.
