Join a leading healthcare provider as a Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse in Augusta, GA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including adults to geriatrics, in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st timers are accepted.

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.

Certifications Required: BLS Required; OCN Required.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:

  • Oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to death.
  • Hematology diagnoses.
  • DNR/CC, Oncologic emergencies.
  • Occasional off service; chemo precautions, morphine drips, dilaudid drips, cadd pumps, PCA pumps.

Ratio / Census: 1:6; 19 Beds with an average daily census of 15.

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.

Scrub Color: Navy Blue.

RTO: MAX 7 days.

Weekends: Every other weekend.

Floating: Yes, within facility and possibly at Piedmont Augusta Summerville (3 miles from main campus).

Call Requirements: None.

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Aya Offer: Once the candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if unit/schedule/expertise fit. *Aya Offer only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines + meets specific facility requirements*.

Locals Accepted: Same Rate.

Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
