Join our team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Wilmington, NC, at a leading healthcare facility. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic Med Surg environment. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with general Med/Surg diagnoses; daily census ~43.
- Target Ratios: 1:6
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN.
- EPIC experience required.
- BCLS certification preferred.
- Charge nurse experience is a plus.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with special procedures such as heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow oxygen.
- Participate in unit team meetings and collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Be prepared to work holidays and weekends, and possibly care for COVID patients.
- Travelers will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events.
Additional Information:
- Unit orientation: 24 hours.
- Scrubs are not provided.
- Call requirement: Call required if put on call for a prescheduled shift.
- Floating to similar units may be required.
