Join a leading acute-care hospital in Rochester, NY, as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN). This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for RNs who are skilled in phlebotomy and IV placement, as these are essential competencies for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg and Telemetry units.
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage dysrhythmias.
- Utilize Rapid Response Teams and perform peripheral line care/management.
- Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airway support.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Patient Population: You will care for a variety of patients, including those with cancers, sickle cell crises, sepsis, and organ failure.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
Certifications Required:
- BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional Information:
- On-call requirements: None.
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs.
- Local candidates: Not accepted (must reside more than 75 miles away).
- RTO Restrictions: No holiday RTO; please limit to 7 days.
- Preferred scrub color: Any combination of navy and white.
- Charting system: Epic.
