Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC! We are looking for a dedicated RN to provide exceptional care to our patients, particularly those with neurological conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced nurses who are eager to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years with 1 Year of direct MedSurg experience.
  • Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 2 successful contracts before applying).
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, with a rate difference.
  • Skills Required: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro experience.
  • Certifications Required: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS. ACLS preferred, but not required.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:6.
  • Floating Requirement: Floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units.
  • Patient Diagnoses: Primarily Stroke patients, as well as Neurosurgery patients and other Neuro diagnoses.
  • Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
  • Unit Orientation: 36 Hours.
  • Scrubs: Navy.

Travelers are required to work every other weekend. If RTO includes weekends, time will be added to the end of the contract to make up for those dates. If a traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, they will need to make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required, and block scheduling is not always guaranteed. Additionally, all travelers must pass EKG Testing prior to their start for this specialty.
