Join a leading acute-care hospital located in the beautiful Coastal Virginia region, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Chesapeake is an outdoor lover's paradise, offering hiking trails for all experience levels and more than 20 waterways to explore. This contract position is for a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in a high-volume post-surgical unit caring for patients, including urology and GYN surgical populations.

Assignment Details:

  • Unit: 6W Med/Surg Tele - Post-Surgical Unit
  • Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
  • Overtime: Paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
  • Patient Ratios: Typical ratio is 1:7

Please clearly indicate the candidate's preferred schedule at the time of submission. Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required. Ensure the candidate is fully pre-closed and comfortable with the patient ratios before submission.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of recent relevant experience
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions
  • Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions

Required Certifications:

  • BLS through the American Heart Association

Compliance Requirements:

The facility will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. Please thoroughly review the candidate's history before submission. Submission must include:

  • Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet
  • Current NURSYS report
  • All requested time off listed on the Qualivis Cover Sheet

RN candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted. A driver's license must be provided for address verification prior to offer acceptance.
