Join a leading acute-care hospital as an MSW (Masters of Social Work) in Oncology Support Services. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Magnet Facility and Level II Trauma Center, recognized as one of the Best Hospitals by US News & World Report. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide essential social work services to patients in the oncology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work support to oncology patients and their families.
- Utilize knowledge of community programs, insurance, and aid to assist patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient interactions and care plans using Epic.
Requirements:
- MSW degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; first-timers accepted.
- Knowledge of community programs and experience in cancer care preferred.
- Epic experience required.
- BLS certification preferred.
- Alaska license needed; pending license not accepted.
Additional Information:
- Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer.
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Traveler can be called off for 1, 8-hour shift per 2 weeks.
- Business casual attire is required.
- Parking is free for all staff.
