We are seeking an experienced OR Tech / Surgical Tech to join our Surgical Services team in San Pedro, CA. This is a contract position at a leading acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room and will be required to be on-call for weekday and weekend shifts.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Participate in surgical procedures as a surgical technologist.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical operations.
- Assist in the preparation of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
**Requirements:**
- 3 years of experience as an OR Tech / Surgical Tech.
- BLS certification required.
- Must be available for on-call shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to float to other facilities if required.
- Must note any RTO restrictions at the time of submission.
**Additional Information:**
- Weekend call required: weekday (every 4-6 days) and weekend (2-3, Saturday or Sunday 24-hour shift).
- Scrub color: Any color!
- Charting: Meditech.
