Join our team as a PCU Float Registered Nurse in Augusta, GA, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a contract position that offers a chance to work with a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
As a Float Pool Nurse, you will be required to float across various units, including Medical-Surgical (MS), MS Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Your flexibility and adaptability will be essential as you handle different patient diagnoses and care requirements.
Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-time travelers are accepted.
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Proficient in handling all potential MS, MS Tele, and PCU diagnoses. Floating is required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the facility.
Ratio / Census: 1:4-5 for PCU; 1:5-6 for MS, MS Tele.
Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
RTO: Maximum of 7 days.
Weekends: Every other weekend (average of 6 weekends in a 13-week contract).
Floating: Required.
Call Requirements: None.
Holidays: If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
Compliance: Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, the pushback is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Aya Offer Information: Once the candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if the unit/schedule/expertise fit. The Aya offer is only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines and meets specific facility requirements. Locals are accepted at the same rate.
Please Note: The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
