Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO! We are seeking dedicated RNs with experience in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide exceptional patient care. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Magnet and Teaching Hospital recognized for its commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, arrhythmias, ACS, heart valve disease, and more.
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, and telemetry.
- Perform special procedures including cardiac catheterization, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of PCU or telemetry nursing experience.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Ability to float within the service line as needed.
- Must pass the Relias EKG exam for interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Local candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
- Up to 2 requests for time off allowed (maximum 40 hours) during the contract.
Special Equipment: Experience with LVADs is preferred.
