Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit in Utica, NY. We are seeking dedicated RNs with a passion for patient care and a strong background in Med Surg, particularly with stroke stepdown experience. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and make a significant impact on their recovery.
Submission Requirements:
- Will accept local candidates (less than 75 miles)
- Up-to-date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in Med Surg with stroke stepdown experience and documented travel experience
- Travel experience required
- Skills checklist matching specialty
- Driver's license with address that matches demographics
- Current AHA BLS, NIHSS (required for this unit, can be obtained prior to start)
- NURSYS report for license verification with active NY License & all active RN licenses
- RTO must be included at time of submission
- EMR Experience: EPIC
Job Description:
Unit: Med Surg Stroke Stepdown Patients
Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
Floating Required: Yes
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Unit Specifics: Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation, general Med Surg, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues.
Specialty Equipment: IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubes
Patient Demographics: Adults
Number of Beds in the Unit: 64
