Join our team as an RN specializing in Infusion at a leading acute-care hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. This position is perfect for a dedicated professional looking to make a difference in the lives of patients undergoing treatment for various types of cancer. With a focus on teamwork and patient care, you will be an integral part of our Hematology and Oncology Outpatient Clinic.

Unit Information:

  • Beds: 60 infusion chairs
  • Average patients/day: 125

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year in oncology/infusion setting
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • All types of cancer patients
  • Adults

Patient Ratios:

  • Ratios will never be over 1:4, depending on the assigned pod

Required License and Certifications:

  • BLS
  • Chemo/Bio certification required

Skills Required:

  • Administration of anti-neoplastic agents
  • Port access
  • IV start skills
  • Knowledge of Chemo/Immunotherapy side effects and management

Support within the Department:

  • Leadership: Manager, Supervisor
  • RNs, LPNs, MAs, MDs
  • Lab and Radiology on site

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC/Encompass

Orientation:

  • NEO and typically 1 week of unit orientation

Scheduling:

  • No weekend rotation
  • No on-call duties
  • Closed on holidays
