50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. No OB Tech from 12 am - 7 am Weekend Requirement At least 2 weekends/month. They consider Fri/ Sat weekend Nights & Sat/Sun Weekend Days Call Requirement Potential to be placed on call due to low -census (or high census). This could happen rarely or could happen weekly Holidays Work into the perm staff holiday rotation Scrub Color Scrubs are provided Tele Tele capable if needed but they don't have to read or interpret. CCU would read strips. Vents No IV team OB/Neonatologist in house Providers are on-call. They also have Nurse Midwives that often stay in-house & will stay if staff nurses request them to stay in-house IV Team No IV Team but they have a PICC Nurse RT 24/7 RT in-house 24/7 & floats throughout the facility. Sometimes there is only 1 RT on nights. They do EKGs, Bipap, breathing treatments, ABGs, vent settings (in the CCU), etc. Pharmacy 24/7 Pharmacy closes @ 5:30 pm. After hours go through UHC (United Hospital Center) - Pyxis Shifts 12 h shifts: 0645-715 (typically 4 RN's during the day & 3-4 at night. They like to have 4 at night but don't always get 4. Might have someone on call come in if needed C-section experience required RN's don't usually circulate C-Sections; however, if the OR team isn't there yet, the staff nurse would need to be able to do this; therefore the ability to circulate C-Sections is required for this unit Floating If they have this experience & are comfortable, they could float to MedSurg or ER as helping hands; however, they would keep them 'clean' incase they have a delivery come in:
Floor specific orientation Orientation is mainly done on the unit 2-3 shifts w/ a preceptor Common diagnosis / Types of patients 20 weeks & up - This doesn't mean they keep 20 weekers - but they have to be prepared for any gestational age, mag, insulin, pitocin, multiples, VBACS, etc.This unit is strictly L&D but occasional may get some over-flow from MedSurg or CCU, depending on room availabilty & COVID
