Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must have 1 year of experience - Will accept first time travelers " - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: "yes with exceptions - No cardiac drip titration" - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: heparin, bumex, lasix -
Job Duties: Vitals, BGM's, EKG's, apply heart monitor, bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and positioning" - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? RT will administer breathing treatments, inhalers, ABGs, and manage Resp equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, & high flow O2, RNs typically not required to do anything except monitor, RT performs checks. -
Travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent schedule. If working rotating shifts, schedules will be spread out so that they are not working days/nights in the same week. Usually 2 weeks of days/2 weeks of nights. " - Weekend Requirement Every other weekend - Holiday Requirement: "May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation. - Holidays go by rotation for RN's.
