GLC is hiring: PACU RN Days needed at a leading acute-care hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia (26003) with a 40-hour weekly guarantee. Start date is 07/23/2026. Shift details include Days: 8-6, 9-7, and possibly 10-8. There is NO ON CALL required.
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
EMR: Sunrise / Charting System: Allscripts
Scrubs are provided. RNs must be able to read & interpret strips.
Shift Details: Predominately 3, 12-hour shifts; however, they would possibly consider 8 or 10-hour shifts if the needs of the department are met. Staff are allowed up to 4 schedule requests per schedule, but they are flexible as long as the needs of the unit are met. One of the charge nurses does the schedule for all areas. Start times vary, so flexibility is required.
Floating PACU RNs will work both inpatient and outpatient, as well as in the surgery center and the Anesthesia Clinic. Floor-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts. Common types of cases include recovering everything except open hearts, which go straight to the ICU. PACU also recovers ICU patients, with the exception of open hearts.
