We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Rehabilitation to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Nashua, NH. This contract position involves floating between the Rehab unit and Med/Surg as needed, providing exceptional nursing care to patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports and promotes the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
- Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit and carries out orders from the responsible provider.
- Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.
- Seeks feedback regarding practice and takes appropriate actions.
- Communicates patient information for continuity and safe care through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding (AIDET).
- Completes all net learning modules within the identified timeframe.
- Promotes a culture of well-being and a positive atmosphere within the department.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols.
- Identifies and assists in correcting patient care safety issues.
- Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborates with nurses in other departments to draw upon expertise in other clinical areas.
- Serves as a preceptor for new nurses and participates in the employee engagement survey.
- Maintains current nursing licensure and certifications required for the department.
- Completes dysrhythmia course prior to the completion of orientation.
Job Requirements:
- Current New Hampshire RN license required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
- Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation.
