Join a leading healthcare provider as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Neurology in Seattle, WA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on pediatrics and neuro diagnostics.
All previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. A Washington state license is required to apply. First-time travelers are accepted, but candidates must have 2 years of PICU or Adult experience and be open to floating to other campuses, including Swedish Issaquah.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient volume/load of 5 ventilators and 6-8 RVUs.
- Provide care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in various settings.
- Perform pulmonary function tests (preferred experience) and work in adult critical care, ED, PICU, and pediatrics (required experience).
- Utilize airway management devices and perform suctioning, extubation, and intubation assist.
- Administer medications including Albuterol, Flovent, and Nitric Oxide.
- Set up and manage medication delivery systems and nebulizers.
- Oversee ventilator management with BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.
- Interpret ABGs and perform basic EKG assessments.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- PALS
- RRT
Experience with EPIC is required, and candidates without NICU experience should be screened for NRP certification. Scrubs can be any color, and weekend coverage is variable.
