Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals who are ready to make a difference in patient lives.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience, and travelers must have experience in Stepdown/PCU. Please note that this role frequently floats to Med-Surg and Tele units, so candidates must be comfortable with this flexibility. The nurse-to-patient ratios are as follows: Stepdown 1:4-5, Med-Surg 1:5-6. It is essential to confirm that the traveler is okay with floating frequently.
Additional requirements include:
- Must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Must already be SC licensed
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS
- Skills: IV start
- Experience: 2 years preferred, travel experience is a plus
The unit profile consists of a 4T Med-Surg unit with 29 beds, primarily for general surgical and orthopedic patients, with medical overflow. This contract is for a duration of 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Shift dates will include weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed. Please note that scrubs are not provided; royal blue and white scrubs are required. The EMR system used is Meditech.
