Join a leading healthcare provider as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC. We are seeking dedicated RNs with a passion for patient care to work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Step Down settings. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive environment.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience, with travelers needing to have step down/PCU experience. Please note that nurses will float to their PCU unit as needed. It is essential that candidates are comfortable working in both Med Surg and Step Down units, as this is a Med Surg role that frequently requires floating to Step Down and MS/Tele units.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step Down and Med Surg units.
  • Maintaining patient safety and comfort during care transitions.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.

Important details:

  • Ratios: Step Down 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6
  • Must be comfortable with floating frequently between units.
  • Travelers must not live within 50 miles of the facility.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Must already hold a South Carolina nursing license.
  • Certifications required: BCLS.
  • Skills required: IV start.
  • Travel experience is preferred.
  • Scrubs provided: No, royal blue/white.
  • EMR: Meditech (MH).
