Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Stepdown Cardiac Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to provide exceptional care in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel contract position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients with cardiac conditions, including myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease.
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients, ensuring proper IV skills and vascular management.
- Perform breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, and trach care.
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage cardioversion/defibrillation as needed.
- Utilize Epic for patient management and documentation.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2 years of telemetry experience required; surgical tele experience preferred.
- Experience with vascular access (groin and radial band management) is essential.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are required.
- Epic experience is a hard stop requirement.
- Floating to like units is required; flexibility is essential.
- Every other weekend availability is required.
Patient Care Ratio: The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, which can increase to 1:5 during midnight shifts.
