Join a leading healthcare facility as a Sterile Processing Technician in the Operating Room (OR) in Kansas City, KS. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to patient care by ensuring the highest standards of sterile processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Participate in new employee orientation and mentor new team members or students as needed.
- May float to any Sterile Processing Department (SPD) locations within the health system as required.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sterile processing due to the high volume of work.
- Preferred: 1.5 to 2 years of travel experience.
- New graduates are not accepted for this role.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current CRCST or CSPDT certification is required.
Additional Information:
- Evening shift from 15:00 to 23:30.
- Weekend and holiday work may be required in rotation.
- On-call duties may be necessary as needed.
- Smoke-free facility.
- Bi-weekly pay with a minimum 2-hour notice for shift cancellations.
