Join a leading healthcare facility as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-Ray in Pittsfield, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise will contribute to patient care and diagnostic excellence.
Definition/Primary Function: As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform a wide variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. You will apply your skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses and may be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Practicing infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrating proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
- Operating and troubleshooting CR, DR, and PACS applications.
- Attending annual mandatory education, including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
- Maintaining department competencies as required.
Requirements: You must have excellent patient care skills and be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography. Please note that requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and travelers may not take all holidays off. You must work two blocks if scheduled/needed during key holiday periods.
Additionally, ensure that all travelers uploaded to needs on my desk note when they can be reached and have voicemail set up on their phones. Travelers without voicemail set up when a facility reaches out will be redirected. Please do not upload a traveler to this assignment who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment.
