Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in a Med Surg unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform advanced skills such as IV certification, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
- Participate in bedside shift report and hourly safety rounding.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required.
- Active RN license at submission.
- BLS certification required.
- IV certification required.
- Experience with telemetry and EKGs preferred.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:6, occasional 1:7 with surge
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
- Floating policy: Float to same level of care
Additional Information:
- Self-scheduling available, with leadership balancing schedule needs.
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color).
