Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry in San Jose, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and advanced telemetry practices.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 80 total, 40 beds east, 40 beds on west.
- Staffing: Day Shift - CNC/charge, 10 nurses, 1.5 breaks, 3 CNAs, 1 UC sitter provided when needed; Night Shift - CNC/charge, 10 nurses, 1.5 breaks, 3 CNAs, sitter provided when needed.
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 telemetry patients, 3:1 PCU.
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry boxes, hoya lift, wound vacs, immobile, PCS pumps, glucometer, mobilab, etc.
- EMR: Meditech.
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Angiograms, post-op day 3 open hearts, stroke patients, PCIs, various post-op surgeries, etc.
- Swallow dysphagia, TR bands maintenance, chest tubes, wound vacs, rhythm interpretation, etc.

Required Certifications: ACLS/BLS, NIHSS.
Floating Areas: 3cvwe/3cvw/medsurgical units (when needed).
Dress Code: Any color scrubs.
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Expectations will be reviewed upon staff arrival, including patient care experience, quality, safety, HAI, documentation requirements, etc.
Weekends and On Call: No on call, rotating weekends. No set schedule guaranteed.
