Join our team as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Tallahassee, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in a fast-paced environment. Unit Profile:
- Number of Beds: 39
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Unit Staffing: One unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor
- Type of Equipment: Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, Dash bedside cardiac monitors
- Documentation System: MediTech
- Scheduling Requirements: 4-week schedule posts 2 weeks prior to start date, preferred three 12-hour shifts/week
- Floating Policy: ER hold unit while at capacity, rare during summer months
- Patient Experience Requirements: 30-1hr patient rounding and bedside shift report
Hiring Profile:
- Requested Skill Set: Multi-task and throughput focused, teamwork
- Must Have: 2 years ER experience
- Advanced Skills Needed: Assist in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures
- Procedures Performed on Unit: Chest tubes, Moderate sedation, LP, laceration repair, blood products
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Dress Code: Required uniform is black scrubs.
