Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 6
  • Patient Ratios: Mainly 2:1, some 1:1 and 3:1
  • Unit Staffing Description: 1 Nurse Tech available
  • Type of Equipment: Arctic Sun, Continuous EEG
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours a week, every other weekend
  • Floating Policy: Floats to ICU overflow unit

Patient Experience Requirements:

  • Certifications Required: ACLS, PALS, BLS
  • Dress Code: Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs

Hiring Profile:

  • Must Have: ICU experience
  • Advanced Skills Needed: Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Procedures Performed on Unit: Central line placements, Art line placements, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, intubation
