Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Neuro Stepdown unit. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled RNs to provide high-quality care in a progressive care environment. You will be part of a dedicated team, working with advanced technology and equipment to support patients recovering from neurological conditions.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
- Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown
- Unit Staffing: 1 RN Charge over all of 10 tower, 1-2 Techs, and a unit secretary
- Type of Equipment: Vital sign machines, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, and titrating cardiac drips
- Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: Weekend shifts are required, and floating may occur after orientation for experienced nurses.
Patient Experience Requirements: Emphasis on bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddles.
Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown. Strong acute care nursing skills and time management are essential, along with neuro stepdown experience and strong critical thinking skills.
Procedures Performed: Common procedures include lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
Dress Code: Black, any shade of blue or grey scrubs are acceptable, with any color scrubs allowed on Fridays.
