Join our team as a Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry at a leading acute-care hospital in Wilmington, NC. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cardiac patients, providing essential care and monitoring in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac patients and manage cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc.).
- Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring.
- Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery care, including sheath removal.
- Administer blood products and manage central lines, including PICC line management.
- Titrate cardiac drips such as Diltiazem and Amiodarone.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Charge experience is a plus.
Patient Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Post cardiac catheterization.
Unit Details: The unit monitors cardiac patients and requires staff to be flexible, as floating may be required every shift. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6 during 12-hour day shifts.
Additional Information:
- Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend).
- Contract staff may be required to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
- Self-scheduling is available per unit needs.
- Unit orientation is 24 hours.
- Scrubs are not provided; navy scrubs are required.
