Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ER) in Statesboro, GA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking experienced RNs who are ready to make a difference in patient care.

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience required plus at least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, ESI level 5 training required.
• TNCC preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.

Additional Information:

• 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT available.
• Blocked scheduling: We will do our best to make days as close/block as possible while meeting weekend requirements but cannot guarantee.
• Beds in unit: 29 plus 8 hallways.
• Patient ratios: 1:4.
• No call required.
• No floating required.
• Scrub color = Navy.
• EMR = Cerner.
• RTO blackout dates or required holidays: one major and one minor holiday possible.
• Max RTO: None as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met.
