Join a leading healthcare provider as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry at a facility in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry environment.
Position Overview: As a Travel Med Surg/Tele RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a 25-bed unit with a 12-bed overflow unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:6. You will be working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a total duration of 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes.
- Perform procedures such as starting IVs, placing NG tubes, and inserting Foley catheters.
- Care for patients with continuous bladder irrigation.
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner, for documentation.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Indiana.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
- Ability to float to other units as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
- RTO Blackout Dates: Nov. 21st - Nov. 29th, 2026 & Dec. 20th - Jan. 3rd, 2027.
- Maximum RTO: 1 week, with the option to add a week at the end of the contract.
- Scrubs: Navy Blue.
- Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted.
