Unit Information:

  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL/EP/NICL)
  • Number of Beds: 2 procedure rooms
  • Staffing: 11 team members including 1 RN Supervisor, 2 CNC RNs, 4 RN IIs, 1 Lead Tech, 3 RCIS, and 2 open RCIS positions
  • Patient Ratios: 2 RNs and 2 techs per room
  • Type of Equipment: Philips/GE combo lab, Azurion Maclab/Cardo
  • EMR: Meditech Expanse

Typical Procedures Performed:

  • Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Complete heart catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO)
  • Peripheral procedures
  • Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
  • Implants

Required Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
