Overview:
Join a dedicated corrections healthcare team as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing essential nursing care within a correctional facility. Job Details:
- Weekly pay: $1,100 stipend | $1,700 gross
- Pay range: $15/hr (local) | OT $40/hr (non-local) | OT $54/hr (local)
- Shift: Night shift, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Length of contract: Starting 06/11, with ongoing opportunities
- Overtime available, if needed
- Setting: Corrections facility in Waymart, PA
Required Skills:
- Valid LPN license in Pennsylvania
- Experience working in correctional or mental health settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous correctional nursing experience
- Bilingual abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience, ideally in correctional or psychiatric settings
