Join a leading healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant in Issaquah, WA! This position is open to both local and non-local candidates to cover an unexpected leave. We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C), although we will consider Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) candidates with prior experience at a similar facility. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a primary care clinic with a supportive team.
Schedule: 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00 (NO WEEKENDS OR CALL)
Experience Required: 1 year of experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient/internal medicine clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs and perform 12 lead EKG/ECG.
- Prepare patients for exams and record history, medications, and allergies.
- Assist with procedures including nebulizer treatments, injections, and immunizations.
- Collect and label specimens (throat, urine, venipuncture).
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood glucose via glucometer.
- Perform office duties such as pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
- Telephone triage and follow-up phone calls.
- Room patients and perform suture removal.
Professional Knowledge and Skills:
- Administration of TB tests.
- First-timers accepted (experience must be recent within the last 6 months).
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Consistent location with no floating between units.
