Join a leading healthcare provider as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in Seattle, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity for both local and non-local candidates to work in an Infectious Disease Clinic with a focus on patient care and support. This position is a TEMP TO HIRE opportunity, allowing you to showcase your skills and potentially secure a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs including height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
- Prepare patients for exams by positioning and draping, and recording history, medications, and allergies.
- Assist with procedures such as dressing changes and pap smears, and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
- Administer injections including immunizations and intramuscular shots.
- Collect specimens for laboratory tests, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Conduct office duties including authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, and scheduling appointments.
- Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is REQUIRED; MA-R, MA-P, or MA-HT certifications are not acceptable.
- 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience with EPIC charting is REQUIRED.
- First-timers are accepted; no weekend or on-call requirements.
- Must be able to work at the same location every day.
