Department Information:

  • Average patients/day: 5-15 cases per day
  • Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years with critical care/Cath lab experience
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? No

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Impella, IVUS, OCT, IABP, RFR

Required License and Certifications:

  • RN: BLS, ACLS
  • Cardiac Cath Tech: BLS, ACLS; ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS is required

Skills required:

  • RN: Dysrhythmias and moderate sedation. Perivascular cases. High acuity cases for STEMI (preferred) and knowledge of vascular cases
  • Cardiac Cath Tech: Scrub and document skills; knowledge of vascular cases

Support within the Department:

  • 3 person call team. RN/RT/RCIS any combination

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • Department specific Equipment: Hemosystem Hemodynamic Monitoring (Change Healthcare)

Orientation:

  • NEO - 1 week
  • 2 days departmental
